NEWS – Victorian Sports Awards Finalists for 2016 Event
“High five” with your hands, feet and bellies! We are excited to announce that Kids Adventure Outdoors Anglesea are finalists for the 2016 Victorian Sports Awards in the category of VicHealth Outdoor/Active Recreation Initiative of the Year Award. The award recognises the work of clubs, teams, groups or individuals who have succeeded in enabling more people to participate in outdoor and active recreation through a single initiative, event or longer term project/initiative/program which has provided significant benefit during 2016. Kids Adventure Outdoors (KAOS) is returning to the seaside town of Anglesea once again with the express aim of encouraging more kids to get more active in the outdoors more often. Scheduled for the weekend of the 8-9 APRIL 2017 – perfectly timed for the middle weekend of school holidays – KAOS will involve numerous outdoors recreation camps and organisations throughout Anglesea, making the most of the town’s unique land and seascapes and expansive outdoor recreation facilities. Kids ditched their PlayStation’s and Nintendo’s last weekend (11‐12 April) for the natural wonders of the great outdoors ‐ escaping to the stunning natural environment of Anglesea, Victoria, to take part in a new event that encourages families to get more active in the outdoors more often. A new event focusing on outdoor activities in natural landscapes aims to provide children (and parents) with the opportunity to experience active adventures specifically designed for the younger generation with rides, runs, climbs, paddles and plenty more ‘wild’ play planned for the all-new weekend event.
