The Kids Adventure Outdoors Anglesea (KAOS) weekend introduces children and parents to a variety of outdoor activities in a safe yet beautiful environment. And who knows? You might just get hooked on mountain biking, trail running, canoeing, camping… the list is endless…
Taking place over two days – Saturday 13th April and Sunday 14th April, 2019 – KAOS Anglesea will feature FOUR activities on Saturday and two activities on Sunday. Don’t forget to join us for the grand finale at the Main Event Hub, free sausage sizzle provided!
SATURDAY
MORNING: Session 1 – 9.15am to 10.30am and Session 2 – 10.45am to 12noon
AFTERNOON: Session 3 – 1.45pm to 3pm and Session 4 – 3.15pm to 4.30pm
SUNDAY
MORNING: Session 1 – 9.15am to 10.30am and Session 2 – 10.45am to 12noon
There will be FOUR main Activity hubs: YMCA Anglesea Recreation Camp, Camp Wilkin, Water Activities Area (from the Anglesea Beach, traveling inland along the Anglesea River, concluding at Coogoorah Park). Then there is the Main Event Hub at the Anglesea Green, which includes a Wild Goose Chase hosted at the Anglesea Family Caravan Park.
To make it easy to move from activity to activity, you will need to book two activities for the MORNING session at the SAME location and two activities for the AFTERNOON session at the SAME location. Each activity will be hosted by a qualified guide/s. Parents are responsible for their children and are encouraged to participate or spectate on most activities, enjoying the adventure along with their children. We even have some activities that parents are welcome to join in the fun!
Each activity will run for 1 hour and 15 minutes with a break between sessions to allow time to get hydrated and move to the next booked activity. With the exception of Rockpool Ramble which is a 3 hour session hosted both on Saturday and Sunday mornings due to tides.
Below is the list of activities on offer during the weekend, identified by colour as to where they will be taking place. YMCA Anglesea Recreation Camp is represented in red, Camp Wilkin in yellow, Water Activities Area in blue and the Main Event Hub in green. Please note that not all activities are available for all sessions and activities are limited by participant number and age, so book early to ensure your child’s preferred adventure. This year, your Camp Out on the Saturday (should you choose it) will begin at 1.45pm at the Main Event Hub. We will do some fun ‘survival’ activities before heading up to your campsite either on foot or wheels!
